Auction Event Brings in Southern Rockers

America’s Auto Auction Kansas City is turning up the volume this summer with their 16th Annual Guitars & Cars Sale, a two-day auction and entertainment event set for August 12–13, 2026, now in its 16th year, bringing auction business and entertainment on the same stage.

The event will feature more than 2,500 units, $20,000 in post-sale prizes, and exciting in-lane consignor promotions, making it one of the largest single-event inventory opportunities in the region. For dealers looking to source volume heading into the fall season, or consignors aiming to move inventory, there may be no better place to be this summer.

The two-day event kicks off Aug. 12 with a mid-morning sale before transitioning into an exclusive concert for registered dealers, featuring the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd live on stage. The following day, Aug. 13, brings a full day of auction action, giving dealers one final opportunity to capitalize on the region’s biggest event of the summer.

Known for timeless classics like Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, and Simple Man, Lynyrd Skynyrd has sold millions of albums and performed more than 2,500 shows worldwide. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, the band’s appearance at this year’s Guitars & Cars event brings a level of star power befitting the Midwest’s biggest auction event.

“Guitars & Cars has always been about more than just moving cars.  It’s about bringing this industry together for something worth showing up for,” said Doug Doll, General Manager at America’s Auto Auction Kansas City. “After 16 years, I’m still proud of what this event means to our customers and having Lynyrd Skynyrd on stage this August is going to make it one they’ll be talking about for a long time."
