Critical Shifts:
-
Major Schedule Shift: Lubbock Auto Auction officially moved its weekly sales day from Thursday to Tuesday at 10:01 a.m., starting with an inaugural sale on October 6 that featured over 200 vehicles and drew more than 100 in-lane and online dealers.
-
Driven by Customer Demand: The day-change was directly requested by dealers over several years, allowing the auction to host the first sale of the week in its market and establish an advantageous weekly standard for buyers and sellers.
-
Dual Milestones & Comprehensive Services: Marking 80 years as a National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) member, the 15-acre, 3-lane facility continues to offer full dealer support, including reconditioning, light mechanical work, transportation, and title services.

Lubbock Auto Auction recently celebrated 80 years as a member of the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) while marking another important milestone with a move from Thursday to Tuesday sales, reinforcing its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
Owners Charles Furr and Shandyl Higgins expressed their enthusiasm for the change. “We are very excited to make this change to better serve our customers. The demand we are seeing is tremendous, and having the first sale of the week in our market gives us an opportunity to set the standard and provide even greater service to our dealers.”
Monty Brewer, Dealer Sales Manager, noted that the change was driven by customer feedback. “Our customers have been asking us to change our sale day for years, and we felt that doing it now, alongside our 80th anniversary, was the perfect timing. This move positions us to take the auction to the next level and continue building on our long history of success.”
Lubbock Auto Auction held its inaugural Tuesday sale on October 6, featuring more than 200 vehicles and attracting over 100 dealers, both in-lane and online. The strong turnout reflected the market’s interest in the new schedule and the auction’s continued focus on customer service.
“As a premier service provider, we listen to our customers and continually look for ways to improve our business,” Furr said. “We will continue to adapt to meet the needs of our customers, whether they are buying or selling in-lane or online.”
With more than 15 acres and three active auction lanes, Lubbock Auto Auction now holds sales every Tuesday at 10:01 a.m. In addition to its weekly vehicle sales, the auction offers a comprehensive range of services, including reconditioning, light mechanical services, transportation, and title services.
