Asbury Automotive Group Names New HR Exec

Asbury Automotive Group has named Wendy Reynolds-Dobbs senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective Sept. 14. Reynolds-Dobbs joined Asbury in May 2022 and currently serves as interim chief human resources officer, vice president of talent development and chief culture officer.

Before joining Asbury, she served as vice president and chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Unisys Corp. from March 2021 to April 2022. She previously spent four years at Change Healthcare as vice president of talent management and diversity and inclusion. Change Healthcare was acquired by Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, in 2022. Reynolds-Dobbs also serves on the board of directors of North Fulton Community Charities. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Georgia and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.

“Since joining Asbury in 2022, Wendy has been a transformative leader and a driving force behind our culture, talent and team member experience,” said Daniel Clara, Asbury’s president and chief executive officer. “Her leadership, passion and commitment to developing our people have made a meaningful impact across our organization. I am confident that under Wendy’s leadership, we will continue to strengthen our culture, unlock the full potential of our team members, and elevate the industry leading guest experience that differentiates Asbury.”

The company also announced a transition plan for Jed Milstein, who has been with Asbury for a decade and most recently served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Milstein will provide consulting services to Asbury through the end of 2026 to support the transition.

“At Asbury, our team members are central to our commitment to be the most guest-centric automotive retailer,” Reynolds-Dobbs said. “I am honored to lead our human resources function and to continue investing in the culture and talent development that make our North Star possible every day.”
