NIADA Offers Classes for Dealers

NIADA Offers Classes for Dealers

Critical Shifts:

  • Diverse Learning Formats for Busy Operators: The NIADA is offering a flexible "omni-channel" approach to professional development this spring—ranging from low-commitment webinars to intensive in-person bootcamps and peer-to-peer 20 Groups—allowing dealers to choose the format that fits their schedule.

  • Hyper-Focused Collections Training: With "Collect the Cash, Not the Car" (April 15-16), NIADA is addressing a critical pain point for independent and BHPH dealers. The course focuses on practical survival skills: overcoming customer objections, advanced skip tracing, and maximizing liquidity over repossessions.

  • Leadership and Retention Strategy: Recognizing that staffing is a major hurdle for independents, the "Leadership and Management Accelerator" (April 13-14) provides a framework for culture development and talent retention. This is designed to help owners transition from "doing everything" to managing a high-performance team.

  • The Power of Peer Education: The spring schedule culminates in the NIADA Convention and Expo (June 21-24), which features over 50 hours of education. A major shift this year is the emphasis on dealer-led education, ensuring that the insights shared are battle-tested by actual operators in today’s specific market conditions.

From in-person classes, webinars, 20 Groups to the NIADA Convention and Expo, NIADA is offering multiple opportunities for dealers to increase their knowledge and enhance their businesses this spring.

The spring schedule includes two bootcamps, five webinars, multiple 20 Group meetings, all leading up to the NIADA Convention and Expo June 21-24, with more than 50 hours of education.

“NIADA is delivering quality education to dealers to help them become even more successful operators,” said NIADA Director of Education Brent Carmichael. “The upcoming bootcamps offer opportunities to grow collections and develop leaders in your business. The webinars will deliver updates on compliance and ways to capitalize on opportunities in today’s market. We continue to add more dealer-led education to our extensive lineup at the NIADA Convention and Expo. Peer education remains the centerpiece of our 20 Groups program with dealers helping dealers grow their businesses.”

In April, NIADA offers two in-person courses, including “Leadership and Management Accelerator Bootcamp” on April 13-14 at the Albany Marriott in Albany, N.Y. The two-day course focuses on leadership accountability, culture development, talent retention, performance management and structured change implementation. NIADA is partnering with the New York IADA to present the class.

Another in-person course includes “Collect the Cash, Not the Car” on April 15-16, at Embassy Suites Chicago O’Hare in Chicago. The one-and-a-half-day course, held in conjunction with the Illinois IADA, will cover maximizing the collectability of every customer; overcoming customer objections; effective skip tracing methods and tools and effective phone collection techniques.
