Texas-based company serving more than 100 dealerships is moving consumer payments to PSQ Payments.
Dealer Cash, a Texas-based provider of collateral protection insurance and consumer lending services for automotive dealerships, has selected PSQ Payments as its new payment processing partner.
Dealer Cash works with more than 100 dealerships and handles consumer accounts from origination through servicing. Under the new agreement, customers will be able to make payments through Dealer Cash's mobile app or through agent-assisted web collections using the PSQ Payments platform.
For independent dealers that offer in-house financing or work with specialized lending programs, payment collection is an important part of the operation. Dealer Cash says the new system is designed to give customers more flexibility in how they make payments while simplifying the back-end processing for the company.
The partnership is also aimed at handling the more complicated payment requirements that can come with automotive lending, where multiple products, lenders and servicing relationships can be involved.
PSQ Holdings CEO Dusty Wunderlich said specialized industries with more complicated payment needs are a focus for the company. Dealer Cash founder Brian Baker said the company wanted a processor that understood its business rather than treating automotive lending as an exception.
The companies are also exploring opportunities to expand the relationship across Dealer Cash's affiliated businesses.
Bottom Line
For independent dealers involved in buy-here-pay-here, consumer lending or other dealer-finance operations, payment collection is more than simply giving customers a way to pay. A mobile option and agent-assisted collections could make it easier for customers to stay current while reducing some of the friction around servicing accounts.
