In the week ending March 7, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial U.S jobless claims was 213,000, a decrease of 1,000 from the previous week’s revised level, according to the Labor Department on March 12.

The previous week’s level was revised up by 1,000 from 213,000 to 214,000. The 4-week moving average was 212,000, a decrease of 4,000 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised up by 250 from 215,750 to 216,000. The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.2 percent for the week ending February 28, unchanged from the previous week’s unrevised rate. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending February 28 was 1,850,000, a decrease of 21,000 from the previous week’s revised level. The previous week’s level was revised up 3,000 from 1,868,000 to 1,871,000. The 4-week moving average was 1,851,750, a decrease of 500 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised up by 750 from 1,851,500 to 1,852,250.
