Browning Inducted into NAAA Hall of Fame

Mike Browning has been inducted into the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA)’s Hall of Fame. The announcement was made at the 2026 NAAA World Remarketing Convention in Seattle.

Membership in the NAAA Hall of Fame, established in 1968, recognizes individuals whose long-term service to the wholesale auto auction industry and NAAA has contributed improvements to remarketing and has worked with NAAA to benefit its members. NAAA represents more than 340 auction members and 140 associate members in North America.

Browning is associate vice president of Industry Operations for Cox Automotive. In this role, he serves as a strategic liaison between Manheim and its independent auction partners, while also overseeing efforts to support the broader industry. Throughout his more than 20-year career with Cox Automotive, he has served as General Manager of Manheim New Orleans, Manheim Mississippi, and Manheim San Antonio. Before joining Manheim, he spent 13 years in the retail automotive industry, rising from salesperson to general manager.

As a longtime dedicated supporter of NAAA, Browning is a member of NAAA’s Executive Committee and previously served as NAAA President in 2016. He has served on NAAA’s Southern Chapter Board and is Co-Chair of NAAA’s Membership Committee.

Browning’s passion for giving back to the industry is perhaps most evident through his leadership of the NAAA Warren Young, Sr. Scholastic Foundation. As Foundation president, he has been instrumental in growing the Foundation in recent years by expanding its scholarship and emergency relief initiatives to support more people in our industry. The scholarship program has awarded more than $1.1 million in scholarships to 265 students. The Mike Browning Auction Employee Relief Fund, which is named after Browning, has distributed nearly $50,000 in emergency relief funds to more than 100 auction employees recovering from devastating events such as house fires, a variety of weather-related disasters, and other hardships, including unexpected medical emergencies.

Throughout his career, Browning has earned the trust and respect of industry leaders through his dedication, collaborative leadership style, and unwavering commitment to advancing both NAAA and the wholesale auto auction industry.
