DOCS Dealership Group Enters Sacramento With Downtown Ford Acquisition

DOCS Dealership Group has entered the Sacramento market through its acquisition of Downtown Ford Sacramento, a dealership with more than a century of local history and a significant commercial fleet business. The dealership has served the Sacramento area since 1911.

The acquisition from Price Family Dealerships was announced by National Business Brokers, which represented the seller. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The transaction adds a Sacramento location to DOCS' multistate dealership portfolio under President Andrew L. Breech.

A major Ford fleet operation

Downtown Ford Sacramento ranks No. 10 nationally among Ford fleet dealers and No. 2 in California, according to National Business Brokers. The dealership serves commercial and government customers alongside retail buyers. Its operations include a dedicated Ford Pro Center at 525 N. 16th Street for government and commercial vehicle sales, while its Howe Avenue location handles its main sales, parts and service operations.

The fleet business gives the acquisition a distinct profile within DOCS Group's expansion. The transaction adds a Sacramento presence through a dealership with an established commercial customer base.

DOCS expands its West Coast footprint

DOCS Dealership Group operates under Dealer Operating Control Service Inc. and has dealerships in several U.S. markets, including California, Hawaii, Florida, Washington and Nevada.

The company's existing portfolio includes Ford, Honda, Hyundai and Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram franchises. The Sacramento acquisition adds another Ford operation to that portfolio and extends its presence in California.

Downtown Ford Sacramento will retain its existing name following the transaction, according to the acquisition announcement. Price Family Dealerships continues to operate its other Northern California dealerships. The group was established in 1976 and has represented multiple automotive brands in the region.
