Octane (Octane Lending, Inc.), a fintech offering financial products for retailers and consumers, announced Sept. 24 it has launched Forest River Finance powered by Octane with Forest River, Inc., a North American manufacturer of recreational vehicles, cargo trailers, pontoon boats, buses, vans, and commercial vehicles.
Through Octane’s Captive-as-a-Service program, Forest River Finance powered by Octane will be a manufacturer-backed retail finance program in the RV industry. This full-spectrum financing program is underwritten by Octane’s in-house lender, Roadrunner Financial, LLC, under the Forest River Finance powered by Octane brand. Octane’s in-house loan servicer, Roadrunner Account Services, LLC, will provide end-to-end loan servicing.
Launching on Oct. 1, 2026, the program will offer a seamless financing and technology experience across Forest River’s broad RV brand portfolio. Forest River Finance powered by Octane will leverage exclusive promotional financing and flexible terms to provide customers with a faster, more accessible path to ownership. At the same time, Octane will provide sales and marketing resources to help Forest River deliver a unified brand experience, support dealers, and create more opportunities to engage with customers through the life of their loan.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Forest River, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a distinguished leader in the RV space, to bring our unique captive finance platform to Forest River’s extensive network of partners and customers,” said Jason Guss, Octane’s CEO and Co-founder. “This partnership marks an important step forward for Octane’s business and the RV industry.”
Octane’s Captive-as-a-Service is a turnkey solution that gives partners the benefits of owning their own captive lender without the time and expense of building their own lender from scratch. It brings together technology, underwriting, loan processing and servicing, and compliance in a single platform under the partner’s chosen brand, enabling partners to diversify their revenue streams and build long-term enterprise value.
“Octane has built an impressive track record, surpassing $9 billion in originations while continuing to deliver strong growth across the markets it serves,” said Doug Gaeddert, president and CEO of Forest River. “As we developed Forest River Financial Services, we wanted a partner with the technology, experience and scale to help us offer an extremely competitive program to dealers of every size. We also wanted to pick the right partner to grow with on future projects. Octane delivers on all points and also shares our commitment to simplifying the purchase process and supporting dealer profitability. As we met with Jason and the folks from Octane and ‘broke bread’ together that evening, the talent and character of the folks at Octane made it an extremely easy decision on who to partner with. We believe this partnership will make Forest River an even stronger partner to our dealers and establish a solid foundation for this important new initiative as well as those to follow.”
