Buy Here, Pay Here dealers got a firsthand look at another dealership’s operation when NIADA’s Low to Mid Volume BHPH 20 Group met in the Philadelphia area on August 30.

The meeting included a site visit to Gormley’s Auto Center in Gloucester City, N.J., giving participating dealers an opportunity to see the longtime BHPH operation’s lot, processes and technology in action.

NIADA 20 Groups bring together roughly 20 non-competing dealers with similar business models three times a year to compare performance, exchange ideas and work through common challenges. The Low to Mid Volume BHPH group focuses specifically on smaller and mid-sized Buy Here, Pay Here operations.

The Philadelphia meeting was led by NIADA 20 Group Moderator and Consultant Brad White and sponsored by Emotive.

The Gormley’s visit provided members with a closer look at how another BHPH dealer manages its day-to-day operation, while giving participants the opportunity to discuss what they saw and compare it with their own stores.

Site visits are one component of NIADA’s broader 20 Group program, which provides dealers with a structured peer network for sharing operational practices and benchmarking performance.

NIADA continues to expand its BHPH-focused 20 Groups as dealers look for ways to compare results, identify opportunities and learn from other operators facing similar challenges.
