AI dealership technology company Numa has acquired SocketTime, a fixed-operations software provider focused on service scheduling, advisor writeups, dispatch, technician utilization, multipoint inspections, recon and customer communication.
The deal brings SocketTime’s service-department workflow tools together with Numa’s AI agents and customer communication technology. The companies say the combination is designed to connect the customer experience with the day-to-day operations of the service lane.
“Dealerships do not need another disconnected app. They need an operating system,” said Numa CEO Tasso Roumeliotis. “Together, we can bring AI into the flow of fixed operations itself, not as a feature on top, but as a smarter way to coordinate the work.”
SocketTime’s platform is built around real-time shop capacity, allowing scheduling and sold work to be adjusted as repair orders change. Its other tools include electronic multipoint inspections, texting and chat, used-car recon, trade appraisal, labor lookup and multi-store management.
SocketTime founder Craig Misak said the acquisition will allow the company to connect its operational tools with AI.
“AI is going to transform fixed operations, but only if it is connected to the real workflow of the shop,” Misak said. “Joining Numa is how we make that happen.”
For dealers, the acquisition reflects a broader push to move AI beyond customer-facing chat and into the operational side of the dealership, where scheduling, technician capacity, approvals and workflow directly affect service revenue and throughput.
